King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia will also attend the funeral, media outlets reported.
King Felipe VI of Spain sent King Charles III of the United Kingdom a letter of condolence today after the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.
The Spanish Royal Household also posted pictures of when King Felipe and Queen Letizia visited Queen Elizabeth for a state visit in 2017.
King Felipe also ordered his royal standard to fly at half staff wherever he may be.
Spain’s Royal Family and the Spanish government are likely to send a robust delegation to Queen Elizabeth’s funeral and King Charles’ coronation.
Members of the Spanish Royal Family made the rounds in Mallorca earlier this month for their traditional summer vacations.
King Felipe met with Balearic Islands officials at Almudaina Palace in the city of Palma and also met with civil society during a reception at Marivent Palace.
Marivent has been the Royal Family’s private quarters while in Mallorca but King Felipe and Queen Letizia have worked to open the grounds to the public under pressure from local officials.
Queen Sofia is fond of Marivent Palace and usually arrives in Mallorca before other royals and stays the longest.
Their Majesties earlier this month also made a public walk-through the Mallorca community of Valldemossa with Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia.
Official business
King Felipe usually continues to conduct official business during the family’s stay in Mallorca. Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez met with His Majesty last week.
King Felipe also held a swearing-in ceremony for Spain’s new attorney general, Álvaro García Ortiz.
Almudaina Palace is the Royal Family’s official residence in Mallorca, across from the cathedral, but they don’t sleep in the centuries-old citadel.
Princess Leonor, heir to the Spanish throne, and her sister, Infanta Sofia, have taken an increasingly public role as they prepare to be active members of the Spanish Royal Family.
The Princess of Asturias, 16, and the infanta, 15, have been making more official appearances with their parents — King Felipe and Queen Letizia. But they have also been spending more time in public alone.

Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia visited the Catalan region of Girona this weekend ahead of the Princess of Girona Foundation awards yesterday.

The visit was notable because it was part of preparing the princess and the infanta for solo events. Also, Girona is known for being skeptical of the monarchy.
King Felipe and Queen Letizia joined their daughter for other events associated with the awards, including meetings at the Albeniz Palace in Barcelona. The awards ceremony itself was also in Barcelona.
The prince or princess of Girona was the title held by the heir to the Aragonese throne. The prince or princess of Asturias title belonged to the heir to the Castillian throne. The two kingdoms fused hundreds of years ago. That’s why Princess Leonor holds both titles, among others.

The group also went to the Reina Sofia Museum to see Picasso’s Guernica.
