King Felipe spent two days in Catalonia late last month amid ongoing political tensions there.

His Majesty attended events surrounding this year’s Mobile World Congress in Catalonia’s capital of Barcelona.

The event is traditionally on the royal calendar. It is also important for members of the Royal Family to be active in Catalonia.

The King took the opportunity to hold several meetings at Albéniz Palace, His Majesty’s official residence in Barcelona.

King Felipe and Queen Letizia have since continued a full agenda of meetings.
