Royals Return From Vacation For Prestigious Award

King Felipe and Queen Letizia returned from their brief Easter vacation to hand out on of Spain’s most notable awards.

Their Majesties gave Uruguay writer Ida Vitale this year’s Cervantes Prize for Spanish language literature.

The award ceremony occurs at the University of Alcalá, the community where Miguel de Cervantes was born.

Festivities also include a lunch at the Royal Palace in Madrid, presided by the King and attended by top officials.
