King Juan Carlos visited Kuwait yesterday on a work trip to improve economic and political relations with that Gulf state, the Spanish Royal Household said today.
His Majesty met with government officials, including the Kuwaiti Emir His Highness Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
According to El Pais newspaper, the King also spoke about the possibility of Spain buying oil from Kuwait to make up for any import losses from an embargo on Iran.

The last time King Juan Carlos was in Kuwait was in February of last year. He’s now scheduled to retreat to Marivent Palace in Palma de Mallorca for the Easter Holiday.
