Royals Summer In Mallorca, Focus On Olympics

Spain’s royals and other relatives have been making their presence felt in the island of Mallorca for the start of the summer vacation season.

This year they have also been deeply involved in the Olympics, with the King and Queen and their daughters attending numerous games and meeting with Spanish athletes.

The appearance was a surprise to many royal watchers because the Duchess of Lugo has not been part of the core Royal Family for years after her brother became monarch.

It’s unclear whether Infanta Elena, who spent years as a working royal, will become more prominent in representing the Crown.
