King Felipe VI granted his first titles of nobility this week to mark the 10th anniversary of his reign.
The Spanish Royal Household has been celebrating the anniversary with events like a concert and race in Madrid, among other activities.
Don Felipe made tennis player Rafael Nadal the marquess of Llevant de Mallorca. The King made former top aide Jaime Alfonsín the marquess of Alfonsín. That latter title carries grandee status. Other figures in the arts and sport were also recognized.

King Felipe became head of state after his father, King Juan Carlos, abdicated after almost four decades on the throne.
